Amwell Magna member John Okell was in for a surprise after hooking a fish while nymph fishing at the bottom end of the Fishery. When it surfaced the mystery fish turned out to be a 5lb bream. Not exactly what we’ve come to expect from these hallowed waters, but the bottom section is both deep and slow flowing, so I suppose we shouldn’t be so surprised when our neighbouring coarse fish make an exploratory visit.
